Veterans Assistance Commission of Winnebago County Reaches 10-Year High in Public Aid Support for Local Veterans

Winnebago County, IL – [October 11, 2024] – The Veterans Assistance Commission (VAC) of Winnebago County is proud to announce that it has achieved a 10-year high in public aid provided to local veterans, with a total of $488,256.57 in assistance distributed in the last year.

This substantial support has been instrumental in helping veterans access essential services, including housing, utility assistance, food, and other critical needs. The VAC remains committed to ensuring that the brave men and women who served our country receive the care and support they deserve.
