Rockford, IL – The Veterans Assistance Commission of Winnebago County (VACWC) will hold its next full commission meeting on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 5:30 PM, located at 555 N. Court Street, Rockford, IL – Conference Room 115.
During this public meeting, the full body of the Commission will vote on the Fiscal Year 2026 budget, totaling $1,426,783.29. This budget, which was recommended by the VACWC Finance Committee, represents a 13.70% reduction from the Fiscal Year 2025 budget.
Superintendent Jesus Pereira encourages public attendance and engagement, stating,
“We understand the importance of transparency and fiscal responsibility as a unit of government. This meeting is an opportunity for the community to witness firsthand how the VACWC continues to prioritize services for our veterans, even while operating within a reduced budget.”
The VACWC remains committed to serving the veterans of Winnebago County through financial assistance, advocacy, and access to critical services. Public participation and support are welcomed as the Commission finalizes its FY 2026 financial plan.
