Governors Report
In Illinois, the commander, quartermaster, or commandant of any veteran service organization, as well as the superintendent of any county Veterans Assistance Commission, is required to submit an annual report to the Governor by January 1st. This report highlights key transactions and activities deemed of interest to the organization and the people of the state. A copy is also shared with the president or chairperson of the county board and made accessible to the public online, ensuring transparency and accountability in serving Illinois veterans.
