Appointment of Interim Superintendent – Veterans Assistance Commission of Winnebago County
The VAC of Winnebago County is excited to announce the appointment of Willie Borden Jr. as the Interim Superintendent; effective Wednesday, January 15th, 2026. His appointment was confirmed at the VACWC Commission Meeting held on January 14, 2026.
Willie Borden Jr. is a dedicated Government Veteran Service Officer with over two decades of U.S. Army service and extensive experience in veterans’ benefits advocacy. He has successfully assisted thousands of veterans, dependents, and survivors in securing federal, state, and local benefits, generating millions in awarded compensation. He is Nationally accredited through NACVSO and cross-accredited with VFW and DAV, Willie combines deep regulatory knowledge with a passion for serving the veteran community.
